Throttle pedal wire harness

Did anyone have experience replacing the wire harness which connects to the throttle pedal position sensor?
Does it immediately connect to the ECU, or does it have another connector down the line?

Did anyone have a problem where the engine would not rev up and removing and re-inserting the throttle pedal sensor plug fixes the problem, but not the 1st time? At first it would work after the 1st try, but today is the 2nd time it failed and it took like 5-6 times removing and re-inserting the plug, before it was back to normal and I made it home over a 1 hour trip with no issues. Always fails after sitting for at least a few minutes.
