I have a S14 and am putting a S13 Blacktop SR into it. I was looking on the HT website and saw that on the throttle body, only one cable connects to it. There are two cables on the S14 chassis. Where does the other one go? Thanks in advance!!!

I'm assuming cruise control. If you want to retain it, you'll need a throttle body that has cruise control. You MAY be able to use the TB off of your KA. I think it works, but I haven't had a chance to try it out myself.

Let me add that I wasn't paying attention to the fact that you have an S14. The KA24E is the TB I'm thinking will work. The reason being is one of my friends has a Z31 with a KA24E TB upgrade, and he said that my SR TB looks exactly like his KA24E TB. I don't know about the DE TB's, that would be something you would have to check out yourself.

The SR TB has no cruise control.

If your TB won't work you might just be able to change the eccentric from the KA to the SR TB ( the 1/2 round thingy that the cable runs in!). If the TB shaft isn't long enough you might need the shaft from the KA TB too.

Give your SR the KA TB shaft! (sorry I though that sounde funny!)

I wouldnt waste my time on cruse control, unless you drive state to state everyday the SR has no need for it. Be a man and keep your foot on the gas.

The other one, as most have mentioned, connects to the cruise control solenoid (or whatever you want to call it). You must remove it your SR doesn't come with a TB that comes with the feature. Personally, I hate it and removing would make the engine bay cleaner. You also have less wiring to worry about if you simply elminate this feature.

Once your done installing the SR you will forget about the cruise. I did. I may try to make it work one day but it is in the back of my mind.;)

Japanesse cars don't traditionally have crusie control. I guess they are just not hte drivers we are. I mean the JDM models BTW. same holds true on hondas.

I was planning on not using cruise anyways, just wanted to know what everybody with cruise does with that cable. So I guess majority rules, I'm taking the whole thing out. Thanks everybody!!!
