my throttle cable from the gas pedle to the throttle body goes right over top my valve cover. i wasnt the one that swapped the redtop in, so i dont know if it was the trottle cabel from the KA or the sr20. but i was wondering if i am able to get another one that is longer so i can have it go around the motor instead of over my valve cover. would an sr have a longer one or the ka?

You need a 91 & up 240sx cable...One from a DOHC KA..

my car is a 93 so it seems like he would have used the cable from the car. but your saying mine is from the sr20 that is why it is shorter?

Any 240 cable will work even 89-90. It should be long enough to reach the TB, plus you can push it back and put it under the middle metal latch thing so it's not on your valve cover.

so i bent the litte metter stopper, but that just lengthened the cable and not the rubber tube it is in from the firewall to the throttle hing thing. so unless i cut this i am not sure how to stretch it out . i really dont liek it going over my valve cover, cause it rubs the paint off and stuff. so any help would be great.

Some DOHC throttle cables won't fit right. I have a '91 with an SR and had to find an '89-90 throttle cable. It sits on the valve cover, but the accelerator travel and everything else is perfect.

the throttle works right, i just dont like it going over the valve cover, but if that is how everyone else has it i guess i will have to live with it.
