Hey guys...

I'm having a little problem with my throttle cable sticking when it's wide open or close to it. The pedal will stay down and the car will keep accellerating.

Most of the time if i just tap on it... it comes free... but sometimes it doesn't and i'm forced to shut the engine off in neutral. It'll come out... and i can start it back up... put it back in gear and resume "normal" driving.

Any ideas? is this common? heard of it before?

well first thing check your floor mats, the pedal can get hung on them it has happened to me befroe, aside from that check for kinking on the cable look for obstructions under the throttle cable cover, look for obstructions around the rods linking the 2 throttle bodies together, check the cruise controll cable but my money is on the floor mats

on the Z31, it's common for the plastic sheath surrounding the metal cable to come apart and cause the cable to stick in the throttle cable channels. check to see if that isn't what's causing the blockage.
