i got a dohc ka throttle body, but i was wondering if this is a plug and play deal before i switch them. which tps should i use.

also, im not using the charcoal canister, can i just plug up the hose into the throttle body, and the one into the intake manifold?

I think you have to match the plenum to the new throttle body and you use the standard ca TPS, as for the canister, just get rid and block all the pipes.

I bored out my plenum with a dremel, put the ca tps on there and just welded that little tube on the bottom shut.

So the DE T/B is easy to get on? Well, well, well...looks like I need to go get the one off of my old motor. Good info guys! Hey nab, mind snapping a few pics?

Yeah sure but when you say easy... :) Remember you have to bore out the plenum to match it otherwise its pointless... and you definatly do not want to do that with it on the motor because if you dont clean out the plenum of ALL shavings... seizure :)

I dont know how well this upgrade would be, I mean its not that much wider. I was about to grab one off the motor at U pull it then I noticed you needed alan keys to remove it and said F it because it didn't look that much larger to begin with.

I'll try and get a side-by-side pic of them. They ARE alot bigger. The CA one is almost pathetically small.

Well its sad if you run 2 1/4 IC piping and the throttle body is to small to flow it

Here's a pic of the TB's and MAF's I've collected so far, the KA looks the same as the RWD CA's TB but the CA's opening narrows down alot more than the KA, they both accept the same size intake hose.

yeah, I guess I should've typed that too huh?! and the first TB is just a DE the other's are DET. The AWD is the older non-intercooled type, don't know if the intercooled one is bigger or not since I don't have one to compare.

I dont know if you see many Nissan Skylines (R32) engines over there RB20det, but they also bolt straight onto the CA plenum, I use one on my FWD CA18det.
