anyone know if there is a bigger TB that will just go right on? I know the ka24e one bolts up, but with all the port work I have done it needs to flow as much as possible. I tried porting the stocker, but it sucks so badly I gave up. I know people like the q45 TB, but will it bolt on to the stock maifold? Something in the 80-90mm range would be the HEAT!

By the way, if you were too lazy to check out my other thread, 100+cfm.

You have a couple options. You can hit up egay for a q45 throttle body adapter. However your old tb adaptor will have to be cut off the mani and the q one welded on. Not worth it imo. Just get a kaDE throttle body and be done with it. Just loop the coolant lines so they bypass the throttle body and let your intake charge stay as cool as possible. The only reason they have those lines running into the tb is so your TB doesn't freeze shut in like -40 degree weather. Or if you really want i could tell you a secret. Just heat up the coolant ports on the KADE T.B. and bend them till they work. Also not really worth it IMO.

either way you have to open up the hole.

whats the point of putting on a bigger tb if you are gonna try jamming the air throught the hole thats still the same size as the stock tb? not to mention the butterfly is not gonna open, cuase its gonna hit.

I ported my intake manifold by hand with my Dremel to match my KA24E throttle body. All of 20 mintues worth of work. seriously, it is the best option for a standard intake mani.

so the ka24e is really the best way to go? something like maybe a j30 or maxima deal wont fit? what about an rb20?

I have a dremel and a whole ton of files so porting the manifold has already been done. making it a little wider means nothing to me, i will do it in front of the tv as it is raining.

coolant lines? son i got rid of those a long time ago. actually, my current coolant line setup is quite awesome. i only have the absolute essentials, and all the others have been ditched just like with the vacuum lines and well, everything else.

I'm telling you, that is the way to go unless you are hunting that 400hp mark and want to take on Dee himself The best part is the KAE tb can be had for under $25 bucks (I got mine for $23 shipped).

student + no job + summer = boozed 24/7. I start my job as an elementary school PE teacher on monday, so at least starting next week I will be somewhat responsible.
