Can you use the nipple right below the throttle body for the Wastegate actuator..on a Sr20? Ive seen people that did it..but some say you cant? Most of the time its just capped off.

As far as I know its for the Activated Carbon Canister (Charcoal Canister) and will not work as a wastegate signal.

0oh..mines been plugged up since i did the swap..right now i have my bov T'ed to my wastegate and boost gauge..but i dont wunna weld a nipple onto the hotpipe if i dont have to. ive seen pics of people that did it so..i jst need to find out if u can or cant.

Try hooking up your boost gauge to that outlet and if it reads the boost just fine then go ahead and use it for the wastegate.

i run my actuator from that vacuum port on my redto & it still opens the wastegate when it is susposed to

you can't use the one for the carbon canister.

ok soo C-rod you are running off the port right Below the Throttle body, and then there is the Tw0 ports about it for the BOV and FPR right. is the port right below the TB a boost only port or is it VAC/Boost?

the port coming off of your throttle body is for your charcol canister. if you have removed your canister, then block off this port. the other 2 are coming off of your plenum. run your blow off valve to one of them. your bov should be the only item on this run. your FPR/boost gauge goes to the smaller port on the side of the plenum. anything else, like a boost controller or whatever, goes to the 2nd larger port on your plenum. if you have nothing else, block this port off.

Ok..so it wont work for your wastegate? right now i have my BOV T'ed to my wastegate, some people say this is better so say u shouldnt do that. so im still a little confused.

Hey i no about that..but i dont have a sidemount IC so i dont have a cold pipe nipple for the wastegate.

Well then go to the store and buy this and just screw it into your coldpipe.

thanks..i used a brass nipple fitting..and tapped it and screwed it in..i havent used JB weld on it yet..but i prolly will.
