Throttle Body Question

Hey thanks for taking time to look at my post. I was wondering if there was a U.S. Spec car model that had a throttle body that was interchangable with the S13 red top TB? If so which ones?

Also what have you done with your KA24 after you swap it for the Sr20??

one more question, which would you prefer the VG30DETT fuel pump or the SUPRA TT fuel pump??

First off if I was unfortunate enough to drive a 240 with a KA I would purchase an Engine probably from Daunt. I would then throw it away at the nearest junkyard. Don't waist your time with a Supra Fuel Pump or VG30DETT fuel pump just buy a walboro.

My shortbock is sitting on the side of my house, with the transmission. My cylinder head is at my friends house, and all the peripheral stuff is in my garage in boxes. As soon as my SR is running, smogged, registered, etc... All that crap is going on eBay.

I've actually heard that people prefer the MKIVTT pump over the Z32TT, but the walbro is still probably the best bet.

The thing about the TB's, I'm wondering if my KA-E TB will work on my SR20, because it's a pretty common swap for the VG30E(T). I'm going to look at it, and see if it fits. I don't hold much hope though.

I just found a site that says a 91-98 throttle body will fit the Sr20det Do you think it will work??

I just also realized that the plugs are different and the Ka24 throttle has Cruise control. Does that affect the install??

Yes a TB from a KA fits. When I got my redtop, the TB was cracked. So, I just put on the KA one. Fits perfect. Yes, the lines for the coolant on the TB are different. I just "bypassed" it. Car has been running great.

IIRC, the KA TB is 60mm. Anybody know what size the stock SR TB is?

If the TB's do swap, doesn't that mean I can use the intake system that was on my Ka, on the SR?(With a little modification of course). Or should I just sell the intake on the Ka and stick with the SR intake?

Of course the KA intake wont work.......the SR is a turbo car, so the "intake" doesnt go to the throttle body, it goes to the TURBO, then the hotpipe, then through the intercooler, then to the cold pipe, then to the throttle body......but you knew that right : )

I thought it was short ram and all that was needed was a cone filter and a nissan adapter. I was going to use the intake off my maxima, which is just the filter and the adapter. Will this work?

the adapter from the maxima most likely will Not work, since the mafs is a differnt, and thats what it attaches too......the adapter from the 240 works though... but yes, its a short pipe, and just needs the filter and adapter, (or you can have the whole pipe made from a muffler shop)
