Hey guys,It seems as though I have had to clean my throttle body frequently. Precision tune did it for me about 4 months ago and I did it just today. Is there something that is causing this like a incorrect mixture somewhere or an incorrectly adjusted idle or something. I appreciate all the responses. My car is also lacking power, I don't know if this relates to a throttle body problem or not.

Sounds like an air leak to me.

Check all of the hoses and fittings between the throttle body and the air cleaner. Especially that short flexy hose that connects directly to the throttle body.

Edit:Could also be the AIV leaking exhaust into the intake.

What would I need to do as far as checking the aiv. Clean it, replace it? I will check for air leaks on the intake system. By the way, what is the little black box that connects to the air box, I took mine off to check it thinking it was the aiv, but it didn't seem like anything was inside of it.

The little black box behind the air box is the AIV...

Mine was clogged, so I just removed it. I read on here that it will only make a difference when you're emissions tested if they look under the hood or if they test your car when is cold.

Removal was easy, if I remember right there were only a few bolts on a bracket on the right side, then it was a matter of just pulling a few (I think 2 large and 2 small) hoses off of it. I plugged the large hoses with a large bolt in each, then put the clamps back around them just to be safe. The 2 small hoses I just stuck a small screw in each.

It really didn't make any noticable difference, just cured my rough idle. I kept mine in the corner of the garage just in case I need to reinstall it for emissions in the future.
