I have yet another mysterious vacuum leak i cannot figure out how to solve. The rod that is connected to the TB butterfly which comes through the side of the intake manifold is leaking. Now my first thought is that under driving conditions it would not be an issue however, i am still losing boost above 5500rpm. So that must be the final leak, at least i hope so.

Any ideas? I attached a picture for reference, the hole/rod i am refering to is right of the zip tie.

ms paint is your friend. please circle the issue. that picture does nothing(for me atleast).......

if you dont like the TB, you can always replace it with a KADE TB and gain some HP well you are at it

Ok after 3 hours searching on Google it sounds like i MIGHT be able to get lucky and take apart the throttle body assembly and replace the o ring. Only if this T/B style uses a o ring to seal itself. Otherwise i will have to do the KA24DE T/B upgrade. Which sucks because i just did the uper and lower manifold.

Yeah, pretty sure its got an 0-ring in there you can replace. If not let me know, I have the stocker sitting around somewhere and I'll let you have it for shipping. It might be in pieces though... Oh, and I think I did a hack porting job on it, but whatev, it works.

Sweet! I will have to let you know because i am still trying to just get the o ring. This type of leak is common unfortunatly no one seems to make replacement o rings for the T/B's

Pff, whatever, just take it down to ACE hardware and they will give you a new one. Oh, wait, Canada... Uuuum, any awesome little family run hardware store.

The o rings that i have seen just by googling are not the typical rubber o rings. It looks like a cam seal, not an injector o ring. If that makes sense.

I will have to wait till this weekend, if i **** up my T/B i will pm you.

Thanks
