throttle body hose split

hi, I'm still new at this but my car has been having trouble starting lately. i found a hose about 4-5 inches long it looks like it loops from one side of the throttle body to the other(kinda hard to see), well i has a split in it. is that a vacuum line and is that the reason my car isn't starting? thx

If it's vacuum line then yes, could be. I've had a vacuum line with a rip in it and my car would barely start and barely hold an idle and shut off because of it so you should replace that line ASAP! Could be a simple fix.
