it should stay closed but unlatch the throttle cable, and you'll see the default spot.

the cable winds around your engine bay, it may not have enough clearance getting to the throttle body. find another way to attach it... and then secure it firmly to its no connection.

I had to go under the dash and bend the gas pedal stop closer to the fire wall. That allowed the throttle cable the slack to close the throttle plate.

Add a spacer to the throttle cable. I usually take a piece of flat steel that's 1" wide, cut it to match the length of the cable bracket, and drill a few holes in it. Then mount the cable bracket to your spacer, bolt the spacer to the manifold and you're golden.

I did exactly what Hijacker did. I have a bunch of scrap sheetmetal so I cut a piece to size and bent myself up a little auxiliary bracket to effectively move the SR bracket much closer to the throttle body.

I never thought of bending the gas pedal, but that sounds even more difficult to do. and also somewhat.. rudimentary.

Its easy! Takes a hole 5 seconds. First: slide under your dash so you can reach your gas pedal with your hand. Second: Push this a half inch toward the firewall! DONE! Another pic:

SEE!!!

Ohhh bending THAT thing. I see. Doesn't that effectively raise the gas pedal slightly, though?

*edit* It raises it a little bit but not noticable.

I just went and did that pedal bendy thing, and it works like a charm.+1 for bendy power!!!
