Almost all cars nowadays have a coolant passage that funs in one side of the TB and out the other side, what it does is warm up the air as it goes through the TB, and we all know that cooler, denser air makes more HP. it something we always did on the LT1 camaro and firebirds Also why would anyone put a FWI or CAI on if they are just going to heat the air back up.

That bypass is there for a reason... you'd have better results ripping the interior out of the car for reduced weight.

It sounds like your talking about this...

Seems like complete bs to me. But if you think your getting more power thats all that matters.Your TB is gonna get hot either way, not an expert at all on this. Its sitting right on top of your engine getting hot any way and the coolant goes through to keep it from getting excessively hot or in the winter from freezing up.

My opinion save your $15.

living in florida and honduras ive done this to all my FI cars and i can say it does work, the coolant is there because when its cold the TB can become stuck closed which wouldnt be good since you couldnt open it up. but where its hot youll never have this issue, ive dynoed 2 cars of mine and one of my friends titans and noticed improvments, but they are small and youll notice the most when its around 70-85F out and with a CAI. IMO its worth the 5-10min its takes to change it and it should not take you $15, more like maybe 2 or 3 depends on your part store. think about this though, your coolant is normally 170-200 degrees, that same fluid passes you TB heating it up, air out side is maybe 80, you do the math on what air you want going into your motor.
