Throttle Body Boost Leak

So did boost leak test and I found and fixed a bunch of leaks. I ran the test again and heard alittle leak by the intake. Kept checking until I pinpointed where it was coming from and each time the leak would get worse. It was coming from my Q45 TB. Right by the spring for the butteryfly.

has anyone had this problem? What did you do to resolve it?

I tried to call nissan to see if they had alittle gasket or o-ring for it. But they said they dont have anything for that TB.

ok i'm now waiting on my 3RD Q45 throttle body I ordered to come in and both I tried have had boost leaks in the same exact spot...the spring on the side of the TB. I know tons of people use them but have only heard a rare few having this problem. If this third one leaks what other throttle bodies have people been using??

I feel your pain man, I'm on my 3rd Q45 TB and it leaks.... I'm trying to take one apart and see what can be done. But I know some supra owners run a billet TB that is made for boost, I think it's the same as the Q45's, they run like $600 though.

How bad is the leak? If the leak is minor, I would just leave it. Your not really going to lose any power from it.

these leaks are so bad that when i get anymore then 3-4 PSI in the system air gushes out quickly....

I've put on the 3RD TB and finally the throttle body leak is gone. But I found a few more...lol

now it can hold up to around 5-6 PSI before gushing out and its made a big improvement in the power of the car when the turbo kicks in.

Can't wait to fix the last few leaks.

Oh and I also stripped one of the bolt holes in the Greddy Intake manifold swapping all these TBs...jeeeez you never win.
