Hello All:

I was just wondering this evening about a small thought: If we have added a plenum spacer which increases air volume, and then a cold air intake (JWT Pop Charger), wouldn't it make sense to increase the size of the throttle body that sits in between the plenum and the air box? Just wondering as I think the size of our OEM throttle bodies would be an impediment from an improved air flow.

I just found a company called "Poweraid" that makes throttle body spacers for $99.

Another company, "BBK Performance throttle Bodies", makes full replacement performance throttle bodies for between $199- $399.

I found them on the webiste, http://www.jcwhitney.com

Any thoughts on this? I really feel increasing the size of out throttle bodies maybe a lot beneficial.

Um,...Jacko...jcwhitney isn't exactly where you want to shop for your G.

You should sit down and consider how much you are spending on trying to improve your G and balance that against the cost of a tried and true super charger. I'll bet that the bottom line is that the S/C adds more power and ends up costing you less. I'd say just save for a S/C.

I can't wait to run into Jacko on the expressway.. I'm king of the 595 - Turnpike interchange.. I take the "35 MPH" ramps at 70+

Ive seen some VQ35's having Q45 throttle bodies. Would there be a benefit? Simple swap?

Don't fall for TB spacers....they work about as well as those "tornado" intakes! lol

However, because the TB is electronic, you're gonna spend some bucks to do it right. I think that mod money could be spent better elsewhere....or save for FI.
