Speaking of which.........how does the ca-det do with the coolant lines bypassing the tb? I had my ka-de tb bypassed on my ca18et with no probs.......but I tried bypassing it on my vq30 maxima, and it would never come out of cold idle. I haven't put the ka tb on yet because of this. I'll have to bypass it because I broke one of the coolant ports.......so I was just curious if there would be any issues doing so...or if it would be better to just get a new tb and plumb it up.float_6969 wrote:Same size, it's just that the DE has the coolant ports on the wrong side.
Ahh, good to know......thanks. I guess that shows how much more the ecu controls everything in the newer cars......because it was in the 90's when I did that on my Maxima....and even after a 4 hr road trip, it would still be in fast idlefloat_6969 wrote:AFAIK, none of use have ever had any issues bypassing the coolant lines on the TB. I live in a relatively cold climate and haven't ever had any problems with it.
