Thank you for taking the time to read this.

I have an 02 Altima 2.5S and lately i have a problem where the throttle accelerator pedal disconnects and doesn't respond at all and i get a check engine light (code P1122, P1123)

I was wondering if there's anything i could do on the cheaper side before i take it to the Nissan dealer... i know they are going to charge me an arm and a leg for this.

Thank you

P1122 - Throttle Position Sensor
P1123 - Throttle Position Sensor - In range but higher than expected.

Sounds like the TPS is bad.

I would simply swap the sensor for one at a junk yard and see if thats the problem.

Also in doing this i'm not sure if you can use a TPS from different gens. Someone may know for sure, but would you could do is contact Nissan, ask how much a new TPS is and if the same part number applies to different model years.
