97 altima made it approx 5,300 miles past the scheduled oil change mileage without changing the oil before throwing a rod. Don't even ask.

^haha. Good thing I'm religious about changing my oil. Just curious, what brand and weight were you using?

10w-40 for sure, but not sure on the brand. Wasn't synthetic, i'll tell you that much.

Bummer!

Was it leaking or burning the oil?

Car was basically totalled to begin with, but it was still drivable so I wanted to see how far I could push the ka. I scrapped it and got a 95 240sx. Best move I've ever made.

Both cars are great for differant reasons.I still think the Altima has Pimp appeal.:pimp

altima = more comfortable to drive

240 = more fun to drive.

I had both at the same time, thats how i based which car i wanted to drive what day or time
