Three questions remaining after three weeks of ownership

Hi,

I've had my EX-35 for about three weeks. I have a few questions I haven't been able to solve by way of the owner's manual, so I wanted to see if others are having the same experience before checking with the dealer.

1. Quite often (not sure it is 100% of the time though) if I have the nav system and the ipod on when I turn off the car, the ipod won't start back up when I next start the car, unless I hit "status" or some other audio control button. This is the case even though at the bottom of the map, it says "ipod", indicating that it is in ipod mode.

2. If you have the key on you, and the car is fully locked, are you supposed to be able to open the liftgate simply by pushing the hidden button underneath the handle (not the main unlocking button to the right that is like the button on the front doors)?

3. Are those little tab thingy things at either end of the cargo cover supposed to fit into the similarly sized slots? It seems obvious that the answer is yes, but there is something blocking mine from fitting into them, and the tab things hang below the mechanism. In the end, a few inches of the cover hang straight down (i.e., perpendicular to the bottom of the cargo area).

1 - That's an iPod issue - nothing to do with your car. It has to deal with the on/off programming on the iPod - a similar type thing can happen on your computer too, depending on your model.

2 - Yup! Just push the button as long as the key is withing 3 feet of the button.

3 - Im not quite sure about tab thingy's - have you tried flipping the cargo net upside down and trying it that way?

3. I think you may be referring to the tabs that are used for the cargo holder that installs into the cargo mat. If you don't have the cargo organizer they are of no use.
