hey guys sad thing happened over the 4th i broke my right leg (tib&fib) so i can't drive my Z :frown: so im going to be here a lot lol. so enough with the sob story let get to it

1. this might be a hard one but im trying to paint my fender twinz nose panel and bumper I need to know how much I actually need for coverage a pint maybe? let me know
2. i had a exhaust leaks from Universal cats that the last guy installed he did a bad job at it so i had a friend who owns a exhaust shop. he deleted the cats for me so the question is I need some cats that are universal but that are really good or shou ld i leave them without cats ?
3.so i have fuel leak under the intake manifold this is my 4th plenum pull
and this on i have already replaced hose and clamps but maybe i used the wrong clams? I used the ones you can buy at autozone the screwing ones so maybe thats the problem?
well i appreciate for your time im sure ill ask more questions this week. :dblthumb:

Screw clamps are junk.
Many types cut the hose, and they all stop pushing on the rubber once the rubber gets hard and doesn't push back.
The spring/constant tension style are the only way to go.
Look what the manufacturers did.

For fuel lines, make sure the brass fuel lines are pointing directly head to head with eachother. After you put the fuel line between two brass fittings of the fuel line, with the plastic handle of screwdriver bend the two brass fuel lines so that they are pointing right at eachother and you should not have any bends in the rubber fuel line. Failure to do so or if the rubber lines are bent a little, i causes the fuel to pressurize in the rubber fuel hose and therefore blow out the line. You will be sitting there and do the same repair over and over again.

There are no brass fuel lines in these vehicles, they are all steel. Try a magnet on them.
How can a bend in a line create a pressure higher than the normal pressures encountered in a fuel line?
A bend may cause stress in the rubber/fabric structure, but it cannot raise a pressure unless it completely blocks a passage and then the pressure in the entire rail is raised.

If the fuel line fittings are not pointing at eachother, they cause the rubber line the bend and crumble a bit. When crumbled, the fuel passage getts smaller, hence creating resistance and pressure. This pressure can cause the line to rapture. Its just like taking the garden hose and putting your finger on the end of it. The volume of water coming out does not change, but your finger causes resistance (like the crumble in the fuel line) and creates pressure. Of course, you can not blow up the garden hose with your finger blocking its way, because you are not making a lot of pressure. But in the fuel system, it can.

The system has a pressure regulator, the pressure cannot exceed that setting.
Your garden hose analogy is not accurate.
Kinked lines may be physically damaged but they are not increasing pressure in certain points of the fuel rail.
If they did, certain injectors would be putting more fuel out as well.
