hey guys. im planing on removing my leaf springs and puting a three link type suspension on my rear suspension. does any one know any good guides or write ups on designing three link type suspensions? thanks

Hasn't been done much on Nissans, but for that type of general off road tech, http://www.pirate4x4.com might be a good place to start. Stay away from the Nissan specific forum and go in and tell them you have a Toyota...you'll get a lot better feedback, and there's really not much fundamentally different between the two.

It's a site with a ton of offroad info, and a bunch of idiots scattered in between. If you can cut through the crap, you'll find what you need.

Thanks man! ive been reading up on it and i doesn't sound that overly complicated. i just need to figure out some math to determine where to put the link mounts on the frame and how long my links need to be to achieve the right travel and ride hight spec's.

Keeping your pinion angle in a good working range throughout the range of suspension cycling is the trickiest part, and yes, it' s just a matter of diagramming it out and doing the geometry on that.
