just out of curiosity. what is it that makes you all decide whether a thread should be moved or not? my thread with a pic of my car with some new wheels got moved to a half dead section yet there are many threads in this section doing the same thing and they havent been moved....

just curious??

lol i feel you... i post a question in the proper section and get no response... seems like the mods move what they see, so if they don't see it they don't move it. i wouldn't disagree with this if all sections are treated equally, but fact is most people just stay in the coupe section, and do not bother checking the other sections even if they apply to their cars....

btw nice rims

Threads are moved to the appropriate section to keep the "clutter" in the right sections.

It's dead because no one goes to the the the right section. Everyone posts on the AltimaCoupe 1st gen section where all the traffic is. We allreally need to be cognizant when posting up new threads to make sure they are posted in the right sections.

A while back ago things were cluttered and then NICO revamped the site and everyone got all pissy about it. But once everyone got used to the new format it all worked out. The NICO staff is just moving threads to the right sections before it gets out of hand. Hope you guys understand

Oh and BTW,

Not true man we see them and if we don't respond it's not because we're ignoring it....we're just ignoring you j/k! Seriously, the mods are just probably busy with other things. You do realize that they have a life outside NICO too...

Impossible...

Keep in mind that we have been reminded time and time again that questions to the mods should be sent directly through an email.

There's other forum sections for Altima Coupes? This is the only section I knew about.

Guys,

Bookmark this page: http://forums.altimas.org/zeromain

Thats where you should start.

Some threads that are coupe specific will stay in the coupe section, most others will get moved to the proper subforum by a staffer. Theres no rhyme or reason why someone didnt move the thread, it just got missed.

If threads werent moved, the coupe section wouldnt work right... theres 5+ threads a day created about intake/wheel questions that people put in the coupe section.

Its all designed to make your experience using the forum easier and user friendly! I know sometimes it feels like a pain in the butt, but 99% if threads wouldnt need to be moved if they were originally created in the right section.

I am guilty of posting in the wrong section, but I too did it knowingly, because no one looks in the other sections. If you want people to post in the right section, you need to move ALL threads that are out of place, not just some, so that all those who post and read only the coupe section regularly will be forced to migrate to the other subforums..

However, I really don't quite understand what is even REALLY supposed to be in this forum other than chatter.. There's really not much to post about a car other than topics included in the subforums: Engine, Drivetrain, & Tuning; Suspension, Brakes, Rims & Tires; Audio/Video; Interior/Exterior. I don't get where you draw the line. You could likely classify every thread on the first page of the coupe forum in one of those subforums.

i think it would be cool if we had Coupe Sub-sections like,

Coupe wheelscoupe suspensioncoupe audio-videoetc.

would probably make things better. imo

Yeah. That too. I mean in the same way everything could be classified into the existing subforums, everything could still be considered "coupe specific." A picture of a AC with new wheels is coupe specific; it is a picture of a coupe, not a sedan. Right? I don't know. Some probably don't look in the other sections because they think they are Altima Sedan specific, since they are under General Altima or whatever and then you scroll down further and see a separate Coupe section and think everything regarding an Altima Coupe should be here. Maybe I'm over analyzing but it seems ambiguous to me.

honestly i agree bc its a pain in the butt when your searching for something coupe specific in say the engine section or audio section. bc youve got all the other gens of sedan mixed in there as well... which leads me to what what jax was saying.. whats the coupe section really for..? just for clarity sake

btw smithersbpr: nice coupe

A/C vs ___A/C meet __/__/__Whose coupe was this/here ???

Those are a couple topics that I think belong in the A/C sectionhowever, I think we should have our own interior/exterior/engine etc...But not really sure how much traffic it would get considering all of the Altimas put together don't get much traffic.

The thing is, just about everything that works for the coupe works for the 4g sedan (not incl. exterior). So what if you have to sift through (the very rare) "older" gen sedan posts in the engine/wheels&suspension/exterior forums? They are obviously there for a reason.

The problem is forum clutter, which is caused by people who are 1) too lazy, or 2) afraid of a lack of responses... to post in the other forums, which leads to the same annoying and repetitive posts. JMO
