I have two ka24de engines, both have similar head problems. My stock ka had a locked exhaust cam. I removed the cam bracket and noticed the smell of burnt oil. I've taken a picture of the bracket because of a sort of shiny polish look it has going through the center. I could email you the pic from my phone to get your opinion. Are these grooves supposed to be there, or is it a result of poor lubrication. The second motor i bought has alot of caked oil in the head, I actually took a flat-head screwdriver to dig some of it out, what would cause that? The grooves on the other ka i have (not the stock one) seem worse. Finally, the grooves on the stock ka aren't that bad, could i possibly just polish them out and throw them back on? As always your expert advice is very valued.
