thread pitch and diameter on hood bolts for s14?

hey guys, i was doing the poor man cowl hood with washers, and with the stock bolts i can hardly get any height out of it with a safe level of thread. anyone know the thread pitch and diameter of the hood bolt holes so i can get a longer bolt? or should i just get some self tapping bolts.

I suggest you take one of your bolts and match them up with one at Home Depot or some other warehouse retailer. That's how I was able to find the bolts needed to mount my headlights (long story).

Random guess: diameter = 8mm
