I need to find out the thread pattern for the oil filter on a 1990 300ZX n/a. I want to install an oil filter sandwich adapter for an oil pressure sensor. I ordered a 20-1.5 center bolt, but it won't screw into oil filter (FramS2827). They might have sent me wrong center bolt, I don't know. Bolt tries to start, but seems to cross thread as soon as threads catch. Anyone who has installed oil cooler may have used this bolt. Any suggestions?

Never mind, went to local machine shop to identify thread. Found out it wasn't metric like I thought would be on Japanese car. Then I went to speed shop, when they Googled K&N filter HP-2008, the thread size was shown. Turns out it is 3/4UNF-16. Double checked with a Russell 3/4-16 fitting and it screwed right in. Sounds like something that would be on an old Chevy or Ford. Oh well, that's what you get for thinking too hard or not hard enough.
