Has anybody seen the carbon fiber bodied 350Z in Car & Driver that was thrashed?

The first time I saw the pic of the car, I thought it was a Celica, wiht all the body mods, then I saw the small shot of it in the ditch, after a blown tire at over 200 MPH. Not too prety.:(

It was one of those 90 mile rallys, and there was only mention of the car, and a couple of pics. No specs.

The race is unlimited. C&D took a new Pontiac, and tried to average 100 MPH, but was beat by a F350, who was within 1.2 seconds of the correct time. C&D was about 18 seconds too fast. The plan is to pick the catagory that closely matches the average speed of your car, and try to make the trip in EXACTLY the correct time, down to the hundredths of a second. C&D wimped out, and went for 100 MPH.

Sounds like a cool race. Lots of Vipers, Corvettes, and Camaros. Big HP. But the regular Joe could run any car.

For the entry fee, it seems like a good way to push the car to its limits.

We had a tragic accident, close to home, a few weeks ago. A landscaper was in his new Ferrari, and was racing another Ferrari, and a coule Crotch Rockets, and left the road at about 195. Cut down a few 10" trees, and started a fire. No survivors.

It is sad, that people think just because some magazine can drive a Ferrari 200 MPH, on a closed test track, that they can do the same thing on government maintained highways.

My dream, is to enter one of these races, or the One Lap of America. Maybe when I retire.

I intend to do One Lap as well someday. Jeff, wanna switch off as co-pilots?

Probably in the Q - I see they've never had one entered.

Better start stockpiling parts now... :D

That has been a goal of mine, as well. With everyone on NICO, around the country, we might have all the local help we need, to keep her running.

BTW, I was high bidder on that CD changer $25.00, shipped. My expectations are not very high, but I'll let you know what I get.

To my knowledge they had Q's entered in the Silver State Calssic before, its juist been longer ago than the roster show, as they only go aa few years back.
