So, I'm looking to buy a vert (S13 or M30) in the next couple weeks. I've got a line on a couple M30's that I really like, but thought I'd get your opinions on this car, which I like as well.

The price/condition and under hood look nice, but wanted the "vert guys" thoughts.

Also, in case you know of any nice verts, I'm looking for a burgundy or white with grey/balck interior. I'd like leather, but it's not mandatory. And if it's already 5 spd and 5 lugged swapped all the better.

Not looking for a "project", but if you know of a super deal let everyone know .

The white one you linked is a beautiful car.

It's hard to find a 'vert with under 100k miles on it. Especially in great condition.. with leather interior!!

Have you asked them about the top and rear window? That's huge when factoring in the value of these cars.. It's usually a good $400 shipped for a top and rear window, and the labor is either expensive if you pay for it, or very time consuming if you do it yourself. If the top is poor on this car, talk to Bart about it... he's in the middle of a swap now.

Overall.. that looks like a great deal on that car. It's VERY clean.. from interior to engine bay. Looks like the door panels are coming apart, but not as bad as most are by now.. so to your surprise.. I'd count that as a plus for this car. (you should see what most of our door panels look like).

I think you'd be very happy with that car. Keep it clean and you can't go wrong on it. 'Verts have been increasing in value over the last couple years, so there's no reason you couldn't resell this car for the same or more in a year or two if you wanted.

Good luck!

I'd get that white vert in a heart beat if I was in a market for one. Looks great and has a potential. It's under 90k miles too.

Currently, the "top of my list" is a burgundy M30 with dark grey leather (no rips) and 75k on the clock for $3300. The timing belt was done at 55k (~2 yrs ago) and the car is in very good condition. Belongs to an rich elderly couple. Having it inspected and will pull the trigger if it passes.

Heard back about the white S13, top is "okay" window needs replacing, was his response.

I had a pearl white M30 with brown top and leather interior before I bought the 240 vert. I hated that I sold it and when I was looking for another convertible I looked at both the M30 and the 240.

The M30 has a usable backseat if you have little kids, it's an Infiniti so it looks cool and is well made. the 3.0 litre engine is strong and reliable. They make 162 hp and all have auto trannys so it's not quite as much fun to drive. They all came with auto leveling suspension and a "Sport" and "Comfort" mode switch - that I could never tell any difference in.

The M30 will probably have better fit and finish on the inside as the trim was better made. A new top installed will be ~$1200 installed with rear window.

I really loved my M30 BUT with all that said the 240 still looks better, is funner to drive and gets many more looks than my M30 ever did. The M30 was based on the Stanza frame, not exactly all that exciting. Even my kids think the 240 looks "cooler."

So email me at [email protected] if you have any specific comparison questions.

good luck!
