hey guys.

My redtop seems to be running good now, and i like the abundance of power that i have. Im running a stock Redtop, with a T25, holding about 10psi, basic supporting mods,

-Adj. FPR-Greddy FMIC-3" Turbo Back Exhaust-Topspeed bottom mount mani-300zx TT fuel pump-Stock SR Ignitor

althought im happy with the current setup, I would like to hit about 350 WHP eventually.(i have a spare block so that will get the monster treatment, the block has a Cometic MLS h/g and ARP studs, plus its all been rebuilt with HKS springs/retainers)im leaning toward the following.

BC stage 1 camsSAFCROM tune/maybe JWT

My questions are as follows.

I am currently running the KA24E Maf. I understand I will out flow it. I have read that the z32 MAFS is good, but ive also read that the Q45 is good aswell.

What one is the best for running 350+ hp?, also easiest to wire?

Turbo wise, im kind of a a loss, i understand compressor efficency maps, however i cant seem to get my hands on the ones for the

a) 2871rb) 28RSc) S15

What about wastegates? when running that much hp i would much rather run something like a Tial 55mm Wastefence, Are the above turbos available without an internal gate?

Injectors? i understand i will have to upgrade, but to what? 750s? 550s?

Now i want to remain on pump gas, this is my summer driver, and i want it to be reliable, aswell as maintain about 800 kilometeres to a tank (what i hit now)

I will be running the same manual boost controller as i am now. i have had enough problems with boost leaks, so i dont want to run massive amounts of boost, 10 is good enough for me. and with the above mods im sure that 10psi on a bigger turbo will yeild easy results.

thoughts?

They are both pretty easy but last I checked, out of those 2 MAFS, Enthalpy only tunes for a Z32 Maf. So if you were considering a ROM tune from them you can't go Q45.

I really don't feel an external wastegate is necessary at those levels. The internal gates are pretty accurate up to the at most 18 psi that you need from the GT28RS or 2871R to get to 350. None of those are available as far as I know without internal gates but all you'd have to do is get them welded shut. You probably would have more difficulty getting the flange for the external wastegate welded onto the T2 bottom mount manifolds than anything.

I'd go with 740's but 550's might get you there with a higher duty cycle that some might deem unsafe.

GT2871R .64 a/r The compressor maps should be the same between the .64 a/r and .86 a/r turbines.

S15 T-28 The upper limit is listed as 330 by Garrett.

Disco Potato GT28RS

My personal opinion is to lose the Cometic POS head gasket. You'd do better to get a quality gasket like a Cosworth or Apex'i.

Garrett assumes a 4 valve per cylinder motor to have a VE of about 95-99%. That number always sounded high to me.

It would be 80-85% for an NA engine, but for for forced induction, VE will be pretty darn close to 100% since air is being forced in as oppsed to just being ambient pressure in NA.
