Looking to possibly buy a Z32 TT.

What do you think about this one on ebay:

Maybe a $2-3000 too hight? Or just right? I don't like how the paint is looking, but I also don't know what to expect at that age of Z.

I appreciate your input. Thanks!

A little high, but only by maybe a grand or so. That looks like a $10k car to me personally. And I'm assuming you're talking about the swirl in the paint? There is still plenty of clear left on that car to buff that out. That's just from a poor wax job. Just needs a polishing compound. Wouldn't even need to cut it, just go straight to polish. I'd say it's a good find.

I'm talking more about the bubbling that he has a picture of. I do like the mileage, but if you look at the AutoCheck it had 73,000 miles in 2003 and now it only has a little over 76,000. I asked him about it and he said there was a big period of time that someone owned didn't didn't do any maintenance on it. Then the previous owner, his friend, bought and fixed it up.

Also, is it true that they didn't put the "Twin Turbo" on the back of the car in 91 from the factory? I'm pretty sure I've seen some examples that do have the decal.

Thanks again

It's a 91. Those paint blemishes are probably gonna be on just about any example.

But yes, they did put the TT badge on the back. My 91 had one. That's more than likely because the spoiler was repainted, as it says in the listing. I definitely wouldn't buy it sight-unseen, but if you had the ability to check it out, it wouldn't be a terrible deal. The long period of it sitting could mean disaster for the seals, though. You'll never know till you go though.

Don't hesitate to post any others you find. Also check the craigslist thread. We're always posting stuff in there. Like this one:

I agree with Ace that this is a legit car, although as noted a bit high priced. Pretty similar to mine in so many ways when I got it, the keys here are the high-cost services done (turbos, injectors, etc.) that so often aren't done before a sale.
Personally I'd be set in the low $9K range (I got mine for $8,800 in a similar deal) unless inspections reveal issues not reported...and DO get copies of the service receipts and check up on them beforehand.
And if you are in the Washington State area there are many Z32's for sale often, quite often a trip is in order to get a worthy Z32 when they do come up...mine was in Cali.
Good Luck!
