It is not made specifically for Rogue. It is universal just like aftermarket and will fit a lot of cars such sentra, altima, versa etc. as long as connector in the back is the same. This unit will fit even different brands like toyota and honda and all had to be modified is connector in the back and dash kit with nissan backgound on the unit to toyota logo. The unit on next page for nissan altima is EXACTLY the same like the link provided except the dash kit is different. http://www.jewellet.com/Nissan-Altima-D ... rb5irpeva4 I wouldn't buy this Chinese fake dvd unit. Get a real deal with Kenwood, pioneer, blaupunkt or any other brand that you like.

Every nav system is capable of showing you directions. The biggest factor that separates them is the quality of the map data. The bigger name brands are going to have maps that accurate and upgradable. The others? Well you may just end up with crap maps that are 15 years old and are horribly inaccurate.

Stick with Leo's recommendation, buy a good unit from Pioneer, Kenwood, etc. Heck, go on eBay or Craigslist and buy used if you cannot afford new.

Are you sure leo ? Its a brand named houligan

their website says the unit
along with all their units are made for oem specs

I saw that alot of BMW guys have it just because of the perfect fit. '

I just worry about the thing breaking down in 2 years

:offtopic: Yes, its fake that its not really an OEM Nissan product. But I don't believe it's fake in that it cannot get the job done and serve as another option for your entertainment /gps needs. Moreover, it seems that everything you purchase is made in China. I tried this experiment one time by looking at products on where it may have been made and to my surprise or NOT surprise was that NINE out of the 10 things I picked out of my house and looked at closely, WAS MADE in CHINA! It's just a reality I accept but to use Fake and China together to assume its an inferior product is something I don't agree with. Because the problem is EVERYTHING seems to be made in China. They are not trying to impersonate any American Company and it's not a fake non-working electronic item. I understand it better if somebody said shoddy, mediocre, or marginal electronic products from China but I don't think they are fake by any means. Long John SIlvers may not have better food than Red Lobster but that don't make them fake.

Since they say it was made specifically for Rogue it is already fake unless you talking about the dash kit because this is the only part was made for this car but the unit is universal. Now the quality of this unit will be far away from good comparing to large navy maker like pioneer or kenwood and not because it is made in china but because it was made in one country for different country. There's a lot of things made in china...i agree but this unit will just blow your money away. I just can not be sure with car dvd/navy maker that doesn't have any feedbacks on different sites rather than their website.

I agree, I'd stay away from this item because there is no third party information about quality and it's not a reputable brand name backed by any kind of warranty and/or reputation. Also, like Phil said it's the data that could be low quality, and I'd even be worried about the quality of the programming for autorouting and other basic features, there is just no way to know if it's going to be a good unit that you'll be happy with.

And, $430 bucks doesn't sound like a steal of deal anyway, check around ebay and craigslist for good name brand units.

I agree totally with you guys that pioneer or some of the other name brands might be better.

And I do worry that the quality might not be as good

Only thing that worries me is that their is only 2 kits for double din for the rogue
and in my opinion non look oem

which this unit claims it does

i wanted to do the 2011 navi but 4000 is way to much

they sent back a statement that they give 2 years warrenty and that the bezel will match the oem look

here is their website

http://www.dvdplayer.com.cn/products.php

i see in youtube alot of BMW guys have bought from them
also

here is a link

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qX42XuckQn4

since my budget is about 800 any suggestions on somehting that will look oem
im very picky

also any pics or suggestions on making the unit flushed
i dont want to get a unit and have it blow the speakers

i kind of like the BOSE sound

kind of looks like a nav replacement for the nissan qashqai like how it curves at the top, but its probably just photoshopped, and I also agree with the comments above, buy something that has a warranty and has a solid reputation, also read online reviews, remember your probably only going to spend money once so spend it on something that will last and and thats up to date :bigthumb: Image

Tranceboy,

I will say sorry first if I offend you but it seems like you are putting crappy parts on your car for the sake of putting mods on, you are heading in the direction of "ricer". You rather spend money on a bunch of no name low quality parts versus buy less items that are of quality. From my personal experience I suggest you slow down, buying something once that cost more is often worth it, doing it once and doing it right is better then doing it twice. I have sent countless money on modification on cars and that is the best advice I can give someone, a few quality parts is better then a bunch of low quality parts. save your money and buy a quality unit, if you are tight on money and really need a navigation then just get a tomtom or something of that nature. I personally have an average touchscreen on my cars (jensen) and for the price, quality, you are not far off from price of the no name brand item you posted.

Tony as mentioned above im not to worried about the price.

And no I am far from being a ricer. I however have a concern like many other members of buying a 2000 dollar pioneer high end unit and it not looking like it fits.

I have seen some nasty jobs where items just look cheap. No matter brand or price.

My reasoning behind this post was one . to get peoples thoughts on a product that claims to be a perfect fit for the rogue. Rather then not post anything, Ive listened to opinion of others who have insight on custom work, and learned from their suggestions.

And for your information all the parts and extras ive added have all been Nissan Parts. Where you got the idea that i am buying parts for the sake of buying parts is beyond me.

Yeah, everything made in China has its own uncertainty. You would have to give second thought before purchasing. Just like this manufacture putting up a dash mod claim to be fit onto a rogue doesn't mean it will not fit. Their marketing strategy is always cheap before quality. Quantity before quality.

Pioneer's entry level nav unit, the AVIC-U310BT starts at about $300. It includes Bluetooth hands free, controls your iPod, plays MP3's, and is sat radio ready. You don't need to spend a ton of cash.

http://www.amazon.com/Pioneer-AVIC-U310 ... B002FL4XL4

Specs from the Pioneer website:

http://www.pioneerelectronics.com/PUSA/ ... VIC-U310BT

As for the fit/look... There is no guarantee the other unit you looked at will fit any better or match the color of the OEM dash better than the Metra or Scosche dash kits.

IMHO if you really want to stand out, paint the dash kit and upper vent piece a contrasting color. It would really perk up the all black dash! Kinda like the center console on the Juke:

I used to have avic-d3 and it did look good in dash in my opinion but it was a PITA to put dvd inside every time you want make a direction or look at the history or even go outside of the certain area because the memory in it was so small so it could store only a part of the city. I bought it for $1200 but later sold it on ebay for $750 and bought non-working avic-x910bt for $250 but the problem was the software. Now the problem with dvd is gone because there's enough memory to store maps for US and Canada. Reinstalled windows ce on it and putted '07 maps and it's working again. Recently updated with '10 maps. So far I like this unit but might consider something newer later on.

Is there any unit that is completely flushed ?

Like you said philip

i might get a nice navi and if the kit does not match the oem color i can always have them custom make a dash kit to match ...

That sounds like the best plan of action to get the best fit. Now just find the Headunit with the options you want, you might want to check your local shops if your going to have custom work done, it might be cheaper to get a package deal.

Good luck

GOOD NEWS

I CALLED NISSAN TODAY AND THE BEZEL FOR THE 2011
IS SOLD SEPARATELY . THEIR ARE 2 . I DID NOT GO INTO DETAILS WITH HIM BUT EXPECT TO PAY 50 OR 60.
PLUS TAX OF COARSE . BAD NEWS IS THE NAVI WILL RUN ABOUT 3500 DOLLARS. SO IF THE BEZEL FITS I WILL GO THAT ROUTE WITH A PIONEER. This will allow me to maintain proper color with a after market navi. Oh sorry for the caps guys.
