So I was browsing around at some cars, and I noticed the EX35's are really a good bargain on the used car market. What I don't understand is why they've lost their value so much compared to the FX or the G.. The EX was a little cheaper than the FX (about 5-10k depending on options), and basically the same price as the G37..

Right now for used 2010s, the G37 is going for 25-28k, the EX is going for 20-22k, and the FX is going for 30-35k..

What are your opinions of the EX? It seems pretty attractive to me because I like the idea of having a rear hatch with seats that fold down, and something that's a little more capable in the winter time... If I wanted something like this, I don't see why I'd spend the extra on the FX?

I really like the EX. The only drawback to it I can see, in general, is the mileage is lousy. 17/24, 16/23 (AWD). I heard they made a very select few with a manual trans. I'd LOVE to have that!!

I considered taking an EX35 with 10,000 miles on trade for our X5 diesel but I couldn't imagine a very wide market for it. It's way too small to be practical for most, especially people with infants and their accompanying strollers and other hardware, and the Infiniti brand doesn't have a whole lot of cachet. The leather seems prone to showing signs of wear at quite an early age.

Combined, it wasn't appealing to me as a dealer. As a buyer, I'd be turned off by the small interior.

If I was in the market for one of those SUVCUVwagonthingies, I'd choose a Mazda CX-5. It's larger inside than the outgoing CX7, gets 35mpg+, and has a manual transmission.

Yeah you're right Bex, the M56x gets basically the same mileage and it has 400+HP... Yes please!

I'm thinking in the next year or 2 I will need a replacement daily/winter driver for the Q.. I'm hoping the M56's come down in price!

I mean, I guess the EX is really just a G37 hatchback that sits higher...?
