So my birthday is just around the corner and my little brother (19 years old, on a college budget) is asking what I want. I recently bought the Racingline STS for my A/C and upgraded to Redline fluid, so why not complete it with a weighted shift knob. So it seems like everyone and their brother went out and bought the Razo RA96 340g shift knob, which i think is nice but I was thinking of trying something alittle different. Just wondering what your guy's thoughts on this shift knob:

**assuming that this will fit our car, according to mcheddadi write up

I think the design is alittle cleaner, BUT it actually weighs quite a bit less (105 g) which I know decreases the feel of the knob shifting through gears. So I guess my question is Design vs Performance, what should I go with.

I just voted for the RA96. I just installed mine yesterday and I must say it made a noticeable improvement. The 105g is actually less than the stock knob (weighed mine in at 178g). I was surprised how much of a difference the extra weight made. Not only that, I think the Razo looks better (but that's just my opinion). I would definitely go with the added weight. I can't wait to install my STS, as I'm sure the shifting feel will make it like a whole new car.

And I got mine from gotitems.com - cost roughly $52 after shipping I think, which makes it cheaper than the other option you pointed out here.

yes, definitely get the Razo. It is very nice.

Most people would not recommend switching to a knob that weighed less, especially after having the STS...

quite frankly, that piston knob just doesn't look very comfortable. the razo looks pretty similar to the stock knob other than a bit more flash. and it feels about the same as stock in your hand except for the finger grooves on the razo.
