I was thinking about getting some el tape or something to make my own glowing Mt Fuji, would you rock it? just saw they get $600 for that option :weak:

I have two comments.
1) What is the point of making the emblem so much larger recently? Mercedes started this mess and now unfortunately others are copying.
The emblem is TOO large for the car.
2) Having the gopping huge emblem is bad enough, mounting it on a slab of black plastic instead of leaving it nicely meshed into the grille is even worse, but lighting it as well? gawdy, glaring, pretentious, bedazzled, graceless, tacky, and just plain useless. What's next? Tube lights around the wheel wells?

Have to agree i hate the trend but the size of the m's badge is acceptable to me even though it is a tad bit large. Didnt Ford started it about 10 years ago when the blue oval grew to the size of a peterbuilt semi emblem lol I thought it looked stupid when they did that. Haven't seen the lit up badge in person yet but now that you mentioned that, it is a pretty crappy design with that slab of plastic behind it

I reckon they are hiding some sensors behind that black plastic piece to which they glue the badge. Illuminating the badge gets a 'wow' the first 3 seconds you look at it, but the novelty quickly fades and you're left driving around in a lighted advert for Infiniti.
