So I have always been a huge SR fan but as the years go by I find myself wanting more and more to go T on the ol' KA. I haven't searched yet but I was wondering if you guys have seen this kit. I'm sure it's all generic brand $hit but the price seems like a hell of a deal to me. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

If you would like to drive KA-T with a thought always in your mind "What if the wastegate gets stuck..." I bet it's XS Power or SS Autochrome. Better save some and do it right. It will pay-off in a long run.

If you buy that kit you will be one of the KA's that blew up, due to not doing it right the first time.If you plan for small psi you MIGHT be ok with their manifold. There FMIC I've heard nothing but good things in relation to the price.

If I do decide to boost I will be more than happy with like 8-10psi, nothing more. I just want to make my S-chassis a little quicker to reflect it's heritage. lol

You might be luckily and get a good turbo wastegate and etc. But you better have cash set aside in case your engine blows.

Well I figure piecing a kit like the one on Ebay together would be ALOT of money......but everything seems to be there its just that the turbo is generic....what if u bought the kit & just buy a Garrett turbo (reliabilty) would that work? u could probably get rid of the turbo that comes with the kit for like 100 bucks or so.....

I've been feeling the same way about my car. I'd love to go Sr14 but, I don't have the money for it right now and the amount of money to get close to the 300crankhp figures are going to be more than double with the SR. I figure 8-10psi like you've stated on a good tune will net about 250-275rwhp. That's all I'd like to have right now and besides, I think I'm going to stick with the slushbox while I'm Ka-T. Granted Manual is more fun, but I need reliability right now and swapping to 5spd just isn't in the budget right now.

I'd like to piece mine together as well, I know where I can get a great oil cooler and SS lines for the oil system. I can fab my own Intercooler piping, buddy of mine has a welder and I've used it before. But, I'm alittle skeptical of the Ebay kits. Only things I'd use were/are the non-mechanical units. I'd much rather have a Rev-hard manifold as well, then their Tubular problematic crap.

Good luck on your build, you and others have seriously inspired me to go the Ka-t route for now. One day I will have my Sr but for now, alittle boost to the stroker motor won't hurt anything.
