So, I'm going to need some half-decent (but not too nice, 'cause I'll probably curb 'em) wheels this spring.

Any thoughts on the Enkei RP-01? I've seen some in 16x7 +35 and 16x8 +38. I'd like slightly lower offsets, but any thoughts on the wheel in general?

I've also seen conflicting info on wheel weight. I'd *really* prefer some Kosei K1 wheels or some Team Dynamics Pro Race 1, but the Kosei seem really tough to find used and I know Skydragoness got the run-around trying to get the Team Dynamics wheels.

BTW, I'm hampered by my current 4 lug hubs.

Thanks for your opinions!

I love the RPO1s. A guy I know has them on a Z32. I don't think I've seen them in a 4 lug that wasn't 4x100. I too limited to 4 lug and I've been seriously looking at these...http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors...wItem

^Hotness. Those look just like mine, only different number of spokes. The lip has the same shape and everything. If those tires are in decent shape, I would jump on that auction if i were you. Those offsets will put your tires perfectly flush in rear, and very close to flush up front.

edit: oh just saw that tires are not included. Still a good deal nonetheless. I got mine for 700, including mounted es100s, but those look to be in better condition than mine.

GhostDriver - I also have been seriously thinking about those wheels. RBMotoring has like 3 sets (black, white, and silver). I would probally still get like a 5mm spacer just to poke them out a bit if I ever got them. I was thinking about putting these on an s14 but am unsure if they would look good on it. I have seen them on an s13 and they look real nice on the coupes

Last time I asked (back when Grant was here) ythe Kosei K1's drilled for 4-lug were gone, gone, gone. Forever.

Anyone have any more general comments about the Enkei wheels? Crap? Worth looking at? Round?

some 4 lugger, maybe you or whoever, is going to love me when i get a 5 lug conversion

anyway enkei makes good wheels, if youre buying them used its a risk i think you know that

Sky got a nice round set of SSR's for like $470 or something, i wouldve probably waited but i bought the kosei's on an impulse, one of 4 sets they had at the time

You guys need to stop talking about me when I'm not around

What do you think of these BadMojo? Are they out of your budget?

http://passwordjdm.com/product...D=402

Team Dynamics didn't necessarily treat me bad, it just i didn't want to wait 3 months. In your case, with winter approaching you could probably give them a ring and see what's available and if they're having more wheels shipped from the UK, by the time they arrive you will be ready to look for tires. IMO, i still they the TD's are the best bang-for-your-buck.

Some nice Enkei 15's (w/ some 5mm H&R spaces i think they'd be good daily driver rims):http://passwordjdm.com/product...D=401

Good luck!

man those wantanabe's are so expensive. Doesnt Konig make a similiar wheel that they carry in like zero offset?

Yes, the Konig Rewind, however that only comes in 15" and zero offset might be more extreme than he wants.

I do like the Team Dynamics Pro Race 1 wheels. Do you recall roughly what they quoted you when you spoke to them?

The only thing that would suck with those wheels is that I'd be screwed if I damaged one of them.

Believe it or not, the Wantanabes aren't really my style. I don't hate 'em but I wouldn't spend $1000+ for them either.

By the way, the only thing worse than being talked about is not being talked about.

15x7 would do...and I'm hoping you mean $500 for 4. Otherwise, my budget is shot to hell.

haha I'm pretty sure he means for 4 wheels. I don't think I have ever heard of Team Dynamics selling one wheel for $500What tires are you thinking on putting on these wheels? if you don't mind me asking

Probably Yokohama ES100s. My current tires are old and definitely past their prime. I need some good snow tires, so I'm going to get some Blizzak WS-50s and mount them on my 15" steelies.

Come spring, I'll need not only summer tires but wheels too.

^ Lowest offset they could get for me is perhaps +20 (if i waited for them to be custom made in the UK), the TD's are cheap per wheel vs. other wheels. And they're made quite well.

Hey, if your'e worried, and since they are cheap enough, buy 5 or 6!
