Just asking for anyones opinion on decent materials for making ducting between the intercooler and rad. A few times last summer my temps got above 200 degrees going down the highway, and i have a new oem water pump and free of rust coolant paths.I was thinking aluminum sheet metal but that stuff is expensive.

thoughts , ideas, or whatever worked for you let me know!

When I was having overheating problems I fabbed this up, it hugs the bottom of the fmic and the radiator so that no air passes out the bottom. There's still room for improvement by ducting the sides as well. My problem turned out to be some really hard to release bubbles in the system but this does help. I also have a Rigid Racing upper cooling panel as well.

This page is also a great resource on cooling mods, they have an example of cheap ducting as well.

On my lower panel I spent more on dremel cutting disks than on the piece itself. I went to the boeing surplus store and just got some used industrial shelves for like 2 bucks.

Well if you think about it... sheet metal is $ if u buy it at home depot or something like that. Shelves have gobs of surface space and u can find them at vvalue village or boeing surplus all the time. Cheap, large working area.

The rigid racing panels cost a bit more than initially...http://rigidracing.com/products/S13_rad_panel.htm$43 plus shipping but still a great deal and a good fit for those looking to not spend $100 on one.
