I'm gearing up, getting a new turbo (gt2781r), manifold and dp, wiring for SDS EFI and know I need new injectors.

I mentioned to a few friends I was going to buy Deatchwerks 880cc's however they immediately told me not to buy ported injectors...

Am I going down the wrong path saving a few bucks with ported injectors?

I've run their injectors countless times without issues. They all come flow tested and as a matched set. Don't listen to ppl that speculate and have no real experience with a product.

In general, injectors are not on the list of things you should be saving on.
(As a side note, I DON'T have any experience with bored up injectors, but that just sounds wrong to me.)

I'm running Deatschwerks injectors on a $6000 engine. No reservations, no concerns. I've bought several sets from them for other projects.

Got cha, I read it too fast initially and thought Deatschweks was advising against it and that didnt make sense.

I have nothing but good things to say about Deatschwerks. I sent them a set of evo 560cc injectors to get cleaned and flowbenched. The flow rates varied too much between them so Deatschwerks offered me instore credit for them and I ended up spending $75 to get a set of their flowbenched 750cc injectors and they didnt even charge me for the flowbench service on my 650cc's (which they did send the printout for with the 750's). Considering I got the 650's on ebay from a junkyard seller for $5.00 dirty and listed only with a manufacturer (not mitsubishi) part number (nothing mentioning the CC or the car they came off of)...I was happy.

I would buy from them. If you outgrow them they will most likely gladly buy them back and upgrade you for a slight cost.

"They" also like wings that make their cars look like shopping carts.
