I got to watch the odometer turn 50,000 miles this afternoon. My primary thought at this point is that I'm as happy with my Versa today as when I bought it just under 17 months ago!

I continue to be amazed at how quiet, smooth and roomy this car is, as well as how it feels like I'm driving in a much more expensive car, given the trim level of the SL.

I'm sure I could have squeezed better mileage out of a stick shift, but after giving the CVT a test because of the (initially) higher mileage ratings I was sold. And with the amount of 70+ mph highway driving I do, I'm not sure the higher revs of the manual wouldn't have eaten away some of the advantage of being able to let the engine idle while coasting more than I can do with the CVT.

Somehow, the only problem I've had was the popped-up corner of the airbag cover, which was fixed under warranty. I've never had a problem with the TPMS, although it's let me know twice when the pressure was low because the temperature got below 14 degrees F. No noises or vibrations other than one creak which disappeared after a few weeks.

When mine turned 50k I had my daughter in the car, and she's just reached 5k in her Versa, bought 7 months ago. She loves hers, too, and keeps bugging me about hers being better, since she got the convenience package. I do wish I'd gotten it, but then maybe I wouldn't have gotten this peach of a car.

What can I say, I love this car! I'm looking forward to the next 200k miles, too!

Still going strong at 60k, and my daughter's, too, at 8k. I drove hers to work when I had my 60k service done, and have to say mine's none the worse for having 52k more miles than hers. Still just as quiet and smooth as ever!

Thanks for the report. That's encouraging for us that have less miles. Mine is almost a year and a half old and has 16,000 miles.

Here's to 60,000 more.

I wish I could say I was half that happy.

I'm now having chronic rear door seal problems, stemming from the fact that Nissan doesn't actually glue the seal to the door at the factory. Also, an odd noise just developed in my driver's power window.
