ive been a sil freak for about 10+ yrs now. im really more of an s12 fan to be honest, maybe cuzz ive had them since my teen years, but i dunno. but ive had 3 verts now. all 92's. one red, one white and my daily driver, the black one. i love them, great cars. i dont really spord drive them as i save sport driving for my SE s12 but i whip it around from time to time. at any rate, ive been lingering around the forum for a few years now and thought id post up some pics. i live in san diego, ocean beach to be precise. i just bought a new top for the car this weekend so i intend to go thru and re-do the inside. only work ive down is a cai, coupe front seat swap (WAY better), dropped it and thru on some 18's wrapped in yoko parada spec2, some xenon ebay lights, a gauge pod for oil pressure n such and an electric supercharger. say what you will, but it cost me 5 bucks from a friend and does the trick haha like i said, its my daily so i dont want to rev and pop the thing, i have an s12 w/a swapped small block ford 302 (its going thru extensive re-working right now htough) so if i want to lay down rubber i do it in that. anyways, here's some pics. oh, i bought a new fender just this weekend to replace the dented passenger side fenderhttp://www.club-s12.org/forums...3&hl=

oh, i know its sitting a bit funky in some of the pics but its just where i parked. it rides great and sits normal

Looks real nice. Reminds me of Greg's. How much did the wheels cost you?

That's cool. I was on there because my interest in S12s got re-ignited for some reason...just out of nowhere haha. There aren't too many S12 owners on here so I was knew there had to be one devoted to them specifically. I've been looking into getting one myself but they're so hard to find around here. I really like both the notch and hatch but I'm leaning a little more towards finding a notch because they seem to be a little rarer.

BTW do you have any pics of your S12? I don't remember seeing any of it on there. And what future plans are in store for the vert?

thx for the warm welcome guys

here's my (one of a few) s12 http://www.club-s12.org/forums...15344 its in the garage under te knife right now though. but yea, s12's are getting scarce. I jump on em when I find em. I think I've had 8 now lol

plans for the vert? none really, just gonna leave itmostly stock. I MIGHT buy a turbo kit for it later but I doubt it. I like havin a quite convertible as a daily as far as the wheels go, I got them for *gasp* 500 bucks w/new yokohama parada spec2's installed. god I love craigslist! the guy I got them from said they're privat's but who knows *shrug* theres another pic on my myspace page that has a pic of my white one.

I jus read your post on the other fourm and I might want those rims and if your going to do a silvia front conversion I can help that, I did my own. What do want for those old rims you had on the drop top? F.Y.I. there an old man selling his s12 coupe in clairmont if you drive up balboa from garnett you well see it on the right before you hit genessee.

uh, I actually decided to keep both sets of rims. if I were to get rid of the car then I'd sell them as a package deal. you have a sil front converted convertible? or is it a coupe? cuzz I saw some slammed to **** sil convert coupe rolling around OB the other week. got a pic? I don't see a whole lot of s13's around SD. funny tho, I know why....they're all in mexico!! no joke, I was down in TJ getting drunk an goin to booby bars last weekend and must of saw a dozen S13's in the 4 hrs I was there. I'm guessing they're all stolen

Sounding off. One more from San Diego. North Park at the moment. I'm scared ****less being this close to Mexico as well. I just recently spent three days installing a top-of-the-line alarm so can only pray that it would make a difference. Hopefully I'll see you guys around town. I saw a white one on the freeway today and a black one (beater) lives just a few blocks from me so there must be quite a few of us here in SD. Makes sense I guess. It's the perfect weather for 'em.

lol, typical of tim to forget to pay the bill at cs12...i keep offering help and he insists he can get it. f##k, i offered to take the board over ages ago but *shrug* ill just post the pics here. i was lazy and posted teh link as i was on my PDA at the time lol

im totally down for a meet. beer adn fish tacos are a fav for me! lol i havent been to a Sil meet since last summer and it was an s12 meet.

and the only seats that bolted up were the fronts. the rear vert seats are smaller to make up for the top frame. i bought a set of front adn rear coupe seats a while back for 20 bucks from a guy up in N. county SD as mine were shot out..not to meantion coupe seats are FAR more contoured to the body where vert seats are more for cruising

here's some pics of the s12 prior to a few months ago. its still in teh garage right now beign worked on and is stripped down to a bare chassis seeing an extensive overhaul. that thing is a freakin mean machine. ive owned more GT stangs and Z's in that car then i can remember LOL!
