No I was at the L.A. car show in November. My coworkers drove the L hand drive in Japan, only seen pics of the R hand drives. Since It’s coming here as L hand I'll probable half to wait until I’m back in Europe before I see one in person…

Did any of you guys actually go?!

I was there Sunday with my wife and some of the TCE gang! I took a bunch of pictures, but probably won't be able to upload them until next week sometime.

I'm also going to Sno*Drift this weekend and will have a TON of pictures from that as well.

NAIAS dissapointed for the most part. I wasn't impressed with most of what I saw. I found myself saying, "Wow, that's really ugly" way too often. I was also not really thrilled to see a bunch of CDM (Chinese domestic market) garbage in the downstairs... those ching-ping whips look like junk! It's kind of scary: In a few years those cars are going to be decent quality, super cheap, and very fuel efficient. CDM cars could possibly put the USDM automakers out of business if the Big 3 don't start offering an alternative or if the US Government doesn't do something to keep the Chinese cars out of our country... It's going to be really hard to resist a $3000 car that gets 60mpg and has a 5-year warranty...

At least I know what to look forward to in a couple weeks when I head to the Chicago Auto Show. I've been there like 3 of the past 5 years. It's always a fun day... But the cars don't always impress.

Wonder what Nissan will have there other than the new GTR... which by the way is HUGE!!! Have you guys seen pics of it next to the old R34 GTR.. The new one is like a battleship compared to the old speedboat.

Dexter, yea i was there at the detroit show saturday, but i flew back to FL sunday morning. i was dissapointed too, i hate when people flock to a car thats never going into production.

Eikon, the GTR was big. i really really wanted to sit in it and play REALLY REALLY did. nissan had it's typical line up of cars we already know about...but the inifiniti EX supposedly has 'self-healing paint". they said if you wash your car and gets scratches from washing you just park it in the sun and it "heals"..... lets see how good that works with a pissed off girlfriend.

OMG, I so will let Nissan know see if they can make a commercial out of that! There is a few in marketing that are bored with the straight lace "Shift" campaign. Love to see some chick walkup and key the car, hour later she sees him drive off and no scratch, she screams with the announcer- “Nissan, Virtually Break Up Proof”
