Okay so I was thinking today and i don't get this.... I had the temp. set on 72 in my car, and it got a little hot so i turned on the AC button (it was off before, its cold outside you know) pand it got colder obviously. But wait.... it's supposed to be 72 degrees... How can there be a hot and cold 72? It just didn't make much sense to me. Is the AC simulating a windy day? :chuckle:

Cause you were probably wearing a coat, and 72 is too hot for coats unless you're some kind of crazy lava cave man.

Also, the gauge probably had the temp by the dash, not in the seat.

The temperature on your climate control is a target temp. When you turned the AC on you overrode the heater, and with the AC running, it would TRY to get to 72, as the air outside was probably colder than that, and it was probably blowing ambient temp air into the cabin.
