I have noticed ever since I have done my swap that the motor really moves around when I got over bumps. I can tell by the shifter bouncing around. My mounts are still intack and don't look broken. I was thinking of getting some nismo mounts to see if the motor will stay in place. I don't notice and movemnet from the engine torquing just going over bumps.

Did you check the transmission mount? If you feel your shifter moving around its definately the transmission mount. If your mounts are worn they are worn. They won't look alright when torquing but move when you hit a bump that just doesn't happen. Its probably just your transmission mount bad or loose jumping up and down going over bump. Nismo mounts will help sustain the motor but you'll need a transmission mount also. Alot of the weight is in the transmission so you'll notice it alot more with a bad transmission mount than bad motor mounts. Good investment for mounts though.-Alex

Get better mounts and an engine torque dampener.

I have had no problem with my stock mounts at all. Most likely your mounts are shot and cracked right around the bolts that go through the mounts itself.

Fill the trans mount with polyurethane from h0m0 depot and let it sit for a few hours.

I did that and went from missing 2nd every time to never missing it

LOL. You got to be kidding... hey whatever works works. When I had my crx I used the stock rear mount for a b18a swap, put bolts in the holes and filled it with sillicone. talk about solid lol....-Alex

The transmission mount is still intact but I think I may try that silcone trick and see how it does. Thanks

Remember, polyurethane, not silicone

Works on any car, any mount and doesn't cause them to add a lot of vibrations like solid mounts.

Could you be a little more specific as what to buy? I went to the hardware store and there is all types of polyurethan. Is their a brand or type I want to get?
