I just ordered a set of GTR styled smoked vinyl. But i assume its like putting on any other vinyl for the A/C.

Wheres the most efficient spot to begin with in placing the vinyl? Was there a need for heat gun/hair dryer?

HAHA...First, let me say it's not that easy. I was one of the first who installed GTR overlays on my coupe and it took me a little over 2 hours. All I can say is take your time and have a heat gun (low setting) and a lot of soapy water spray to help manipulate the vinyl. Start on the rear where the circles are cut out then work your way around top then over to the side. If you don't take your time, you WILL crease the vinyl. Try not to tug and pull the vinyl too hard either when you are stretching it cause it will tear. If you can, have a buddy help you so they can hold the light while you're working.2 sets of hands make it hella easier! Good Luck bro and post up pics when you get it done..

I left mine on the car, but I did it by myself and I needed the lights to be solid. Like dangeris said it's pretty hard to do and it also took me about 2 hours.

I ended up just spraying mine since it was such a pain in the a**. I destroyed the overlays I purchased attempting it.

yeah a hair dryer will work fine. I guess it's worth mentioning that I have since peeled them off and painted my lights. They started cracking along the edge where there is a gap underneath the overlay, you'll see what I'm talking about when you put them on.

Would it be hard to spray a gtr style tint? And what kind of spray do you use? I put on overlays some time ago but they look like crap

To be honest I've always loved how the red sticks out on my color (dark metallic slate) So its kind of a win win if I end up not liking the GTR tails, then i can go back to regular.
