I picked up a vert in fairly bad shape and the top was in shreds. I am replacing the top but I need to know what the rear bow height is, and if possible the distance between all of the bows. I've been trying to find my own Conv. FSM suppliment but haven't been able to find one. If someone could maybe, possibly, kindly, post the information or maybe a scan of the page in the manual discussing it I would REALLY REALLY appreciate it.

I know someone out there has the Covertible service manual that is willing to help me out.

Sorry... been super busy lately..

I'll see what I can find either this afternoon or tomorrow for you. I don't remember the FSM discussing measurements between bows and such.. which is probably why nobody has piped up yet with the info.

But, I'll see what I can find. Sorry for the delayed response.

Yeah, I wish I saw this thread last night. Please tell us exactly what are you trying to figure out. If the measurements are not in FSM, I'll measure those on my car. My top is in good condition, so those numbers will be very close to factory specs.

BTW, I wonder if it's even possible to adjust distance between bows. Aren't then just bolt on to the main frame or something?

The front bow is fixed and cannot be in a different position. but the middle bow is able to move freely a couple of inches when there is no top or side pads installed on the frame. The rear bow is completely independent when there is no top on and can move all the way up or down, even with the top frame latched.

I need the measurements from the middle of the car, the distance between the center of each bow, and the distance from the rear bow to the molding in front of the trunk lid. A service manual should have this information, but not having seen the Nissan FSM before, I could be wrong.

Got it. I'll check FSM tonight. If not there, I'll measure them myself.

Nope! FSM supplement doesn't have any numbers for bow locations. I measured my vert. I did very carefully, so I guarantee that numbers are accurate. They show space between bows, not from the center of each bow to another. 20 inch is from #4 bow to tip of black trim. It was 14, 14, 15, and 20 even!! I was surprised to see that. Maybe someone measures his/hers and confirms that those numbers are correct. Just let us know if you need anything.

BTW, quarter window assembly is even worse. It can move freely up, down, left, right, in and out. It's like floating in the air. Slight angle change messes up alignment. I spent long time to make them look perfect again, so I know your pain...

Hey BaliLover,This is my third time trying to post a reply...system problems. If you e-mail me as [email protected] I will send you the PDF of the Bow sections. I am scanning the Supplement for everyone. I have to manual scan each page and group them into pdf files. I jumped ahead for ya to those sections. Although it looks like 94_240 got the measurements you needed.. I'll send them along anyway if you like..
