So i just installed my injen intake yesterday. My question was addressed in the DIY section but I honestly dont like the answer =/ wondering what everyone else did:

- That extra hose that is left over (looks like its coming out of the transmission? no idea), what did you do with it!? Is it ok to leave it flopping around the engine compartment? The DIY says they wedged it between the shield and fiilter, but when i tried that it looked like it sort of clamped the hose off cause it was so tight.

- Also in the instructions, it says to install the large pipe with the injen label on it and THEN attach the filter/shield, this was NOT possible from what I saw.Once the main part is bolted in and everything is clamped, there is no WAY you are fitting that filter inbetween the battery and intake pip, at least not by any stretch of my imagination. Anyone else experience this? I only ask because it could also be that I was just doing something completely wrong lol

Just zip tie that hose to a safe location and you'll be fine.

You can install the filter on the pipe and then install the piping all together. I had no issue installing the filter last. I think I managed to put the filter behind the piping with the opening facing up and then moving it into place after that.

Ah ok that makes sense, see, I dont know much about car but I can follow instructions and am a pretty smart guy so i figured I would try this myself, intake seems like a good project to begin to get my hands dirty in auto work.

annnyyyyway i ended up just assembling the entire thing outside the engine compartment and throwing it in there, the instructions say to bolt everything down and then put the filter in, i was worried since i don't have experience so i blindly followed instructions to a dead end lol.
