Ok I have manual windows and locks in the car and I really want to switch it to power, so I've been looking around the junkyards locally for good condition power doors to gank and use...found a set on a black 240, but it looked like there was only a control for the driver's side window and the locks...is this true for 240's or did I miss something? If that is true, I'm gonna hafta fab a dual window control for the driver side ;)

ok.... firs of all, on a 89 240sx to lock the doors, you lock your door via the lock, and it is a power lock. it looks the other door, and vice versa with the passenger side. now on the door where the switch would be for the power window switch, there would be 2 switches. one for the driver side, one for passerger. there is no lock switch persay.

Ok cool, thanks bro, makes it a good deal easier (I've got manual windows and the locks don't lock/unlock each other). I'm gonna hafta go gank one of those doors then, at least if I can find one in black or decide its worth recoloring.

Its the same with 91-94's. We have a slave lock, where you lock the driver door and the passenger one locks.

I have a question, the 240s have the wires already "ready" for an install with the power doors? you just snap the wires together? I am asking this because I see hookups on my 92 that apparently go to something but I dont know what.

Thats what I hear ;) Just make sure you get the whole harness from the door and just don't cut the wires if you're going to transplant
