ok so it runs again how ever last night i drove it for awhile hard in some spots any way it started to over heat on my way home ( i drove it about 3 miles after it sat for 2 hours from a 7 mile ride home from work ) So i poped open my hood and my turbo and turbo manifold were glowing bright red. the water line to the turbo from the intake manifold sounded like it had air in it so i bled out the system go some air out replace the rad cap ( had a spare ) and drove it around the same 3 miles i came home and my turbo was glowing again how ever it was not as bad as it was the first time and it did not over heat this time a little longer and i think it would of

so if the turbo is not getting cooled by the coolant should it get that hot or am i looking at something else wrong with the car

on on a cold start it has a funny idle too and some times it dies or tried to after revving it but when it gets to normal temperature its fine any ideas on that would be good too i think i know what it is but not positive

sorry for the long post and thinks

i would have to say your running a tad bit lean unless you were really driving hard, but im not a CA master..someone elsemight be able to help better.

the turbine housing and manifold glowing has nothing to do with the water lines dude. The water lines only help to cool the center section of the turbo, not a cast iron housing.

If it glows a little, fine. But if it's bright orange/red and you haven't been driving it hard, you got leaning-out issues. If you're just thrashing the hell out of the thing, it's going to glow.

oh alright thanks guys it was bright orange i had air in the system and still do around the the line that comes from the intake manifold. It could be leaning out but i doubt its running really rich i'll hook up the 02 sensor this week end

also the idle problem my bat light flickers too when at the low idle ( around 500rpm ) and some times at regular idle i dunno why any ideas?
