The RL moves quickly, but feels so slow from the driver's seat.

It also drives like it has it's engine turned the wrong way and is missing two cylinders. Oh, wait...

Is the engine turned sideways in the new Acura RL? Is it still 6 cyls. is it still 3.5?

Does it go to hmmm lets see 135-140 or is it capable of more?

Me thinks ya'll will surpass your driving abilities before ya'll "put much of a hurt" on anything at those speeds. Just a thought.

Maybe off the line though?

yeah, there 3.5 rated 300hp.

was more like a 40-80 kill, but standing start. 2 lanes merging into 1. i got the holeshot, but the RL was starting to pull even, but then at ~40 that 5 speed had to shift, right in my powerband, and i walked until he quit.

I bet our Q's still make more torque and HP on the dyno...

HP sells cars, torque wins races..

VH for life.

Well said.

I must say however, that my '02 MDX is the fastest SUV I've ever driven. I've raced so many with it and it continues to surprise me. I like how it runs in FF unless AWD is activated or it detects slippage. The 3.5 V6 puts out 240 horsepower (179 kW) and 245 pounds-feet of torque from 3000 to 5000 rpm. What I really love about is that it doesn't feel like a truck. It feels like a sedan with an 8 inch ground clearance. Handles well too. Fun to drive.

But after a couple of days, I miss the Q. I get in the Q, and fall in love all over again.
