Ok, so I am at the mall today about to leave and this obviously hand painted chameleon civic with no hood bumble bees through and parks all hardcore going fast. so we are like "ok..why" we walk over and I guess that crazy B18B or whatever it was (I'm not a honda guy really, but he told me thats what it looked like to him and he was into them more since he used to have a lude). And he sais "WHOA! He's got some giant super low CAI" so I take a look, and it looks like super inneficiant IC piping, but it goes this about 12~14 x 5~6 thing that looks like it has the tiny whole side of the cheese grater for a face. Very odd indeed, but intrigueing non the less. Who know about these things?

yes ive seen thes advertised in car mag ads. they look less efficient than just running a CAI pipe and high quality filter. its for ricers that want to make ppl think they have a turbo w/ a intercooler

Could I use one of those with my intercooler? Maybe I could put it in front of my intercooler, it'd look mad tyte to have BOTH.

TAKE THAT, CUT A HOLE IN YOUR HOOD, PUT A SCOOP ON IT AND PLACE THAT FILTER IN THE HOLE UNDER THE SCOOP. INSTANT RAM/CAI, GOOD FOR ABOUT 2-5HP DEPENDING ON THE STICKERS IN YOUR WINDOWS.

ACTUALLY THOSE ARE GOOD FOR IN THE FENDER WELL. IF YOU CUT A HOLE IN THE SPLASH GAURD BY THE TIRE AND PUT FINE MESH OVER IT AND THE FILTER BEHIND THE MESH YOU GOT NICE COOL AIR FLOW. THE TIRE ACTUALLY FORCES THE AIR INTO THE FILTER. ALSO YOU SHOULD ATTACH A AEM BYPASS TO BOTH DESIGNS FOR THOSE JUST IN CASE SITUATIONS.

why doesn't arospeed just make CAI's in the shape of hood ornaments too, or maybe CAI's shaped like foglights. :rolleyes
