I was thinking the same thing.
IICR, Nissan already had a name change in the USA, from Datsun to Nissan. I think another name change, will just confuse the general public and some car people. Definitely, this is a horrible idea.PapaSmurf2k3 wrote: ↑Mon Apr 02, 2018 3:13 pmI was thinking the same thing.
They are already merged, they just have 2 different names. Might as well make it official and save on taxes.
Like that old hag you've been dating for 25 years... just get married already and file jointly...
I CARE!

Can you imagine what would happen if you had an emergency pit stop at a gas station that exclusively bought Nissan toilet paper? A roll of that stuff would have Continuously Variable Transferability - it "adapts" to the situation.
At the end of the day, sure the paper is guaranteed by the company for 5 years 100,000 wipes, but a few calls to consumer affairs explaining how you ended up with s*** all over your hands because of their toilet paper would go from "it's designed to let you feel the effectiveness of the wipe" to "we'll give you $5 if you wash your own hands and never call us again."
You must be losing your mind if you think those three combined will increase quality across the board... Mistsubishi and Renault make some of the biggest piles of crap known to man.DurableOilAMSOIL wrote: ↑Thu Apr 12, 2018 11:01 pmCarlos Ghosn is an excellent CEO he brought Nissan from the brink of bankruptcy, but I do not agree to kill off both brands and become one brand. Nissan and Renault have a lot of history and Brand recognition on their own. I do see the chance for all three companies to share Platforms, engines, transmissions and technology from all three brands Nissan, Renault and Mitsubishi improving quality across the board.

Something you'll learn later in life... petitions never, ever work.datechboss101 wrote: ↑Mon Apr 16, 2018 5:58 pmCan't we just start a campaign/petition to remove Ghosn from CEO position (from auto industry) and have someone better?
Alright! I'm just gonna hope that Nissan finds its a way out of this mess and becomes reliable and what it used to be (not what it currently is).PapaSmurf2k3 wrote: ↑Mon Apr 16, 2018 9:39 pmSomething you'll learn later in life... petitions never, ever work.datechboss101 wrote: ↑Mon Apr 16, 2018 5:58 pmCan't we just start a campaign/petition to remove Ghosn from CEO position (from auto industry) and have someone better?
